Skill Centre: U8-U11 Presented by Metro Orthodontic Specialists
The Skill Centre program is geared towards players who are committed to soccer. Players will generally receive a minimum two practices, plus a series of games per week. Players can expect to have 2-3 contacts per week on average over the summer months.

Parents to Provide:
- Contributions to individual team budget for extra tournaments/festivals and team socials
Coaching: This program will have several coaches inc. senior Halifax City Soccer Club staff who will assist in the delivery of the Canada Soccer 'preferred training model'
All HCSC coaches are mandated to complete all requirements by our governing bodies (Soccer Nova Scotia and Canadian Soccer Association) including their soccer specific training, making ethical decisions, respect in soccer and a valid police check.
Optional Program Add on:
Players can opt in for an extra training session during the month of July. Players will receive an extra four sessions (1 hour) on Monday's at either 5pm or 6pm with senior staff on turf. Limited spots available.

Halifax City Soccer Club is committed to ensuring families can apply for KidSport & JumpStart to assist with accessbility to our programs.
There are several national funding organizations that work with soccer clubs to provide registration fee and equipment funding to those who qualify. Jumpstart will provide up to $500 per year ($250 per soccer season) to players who qualify, while KidSport provides up to $300 per year. If you need financial assistance, please apply to both Jumpstart and KidSport to see if you qualify.
IMPORTANT: If you intend to apply for JumpStart or KidSport, when registering for your desired program, you must select "Apply for Financial Aid" when completing your registration at the checkout.
The registrant will not be charged any money at check out for financial aid registrations and their registration will go into a "pending financial aid" status. Only when we receive proof of application for KidSport &/OR JumpStart or receive the cheque will the registrant be approved to an active successful registration.
